FAILING IT UP
Failing It Up is an independent editorial initiative and evolving global movement founded by Bhawana Verma, exploring failure, resilience, leadership, and identity through long-form conversations and storytelling.
What began as intimate, heartfelt discussions around failure has grown into a broader inquiry into how people navigate transition, redirection, and growth. The initiative brings together voices from diverse fields — including business, design, arts, entrepreneurship, and creative leadership — to examine how lived experience shapes perspective and purpose.
At its core, Failing It Up is about transformation through experience — the belief that challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty often become the most meaningful teachers.
Editorial Focus
Failing It Up explores:
- Failure as a catalyst for growth
- Leadership shaped by lived experience
- Identity through transition and reinvention
- Creativity born from uncertainty
- Meaning-making beyond success narratives
The platform prioritises depth over speed, favouring honest reflection and long-form dialogue over performative storytelling.
Evolution of the Initiative
Failing It Up did not begin with a fixed format.
Over time, it has taken the shape of:
- Recorded conversations
- Editorial interviews
- Visual storytelling
- Archival content
- Periodic publishing cycles
As the initiative grew, its purpose became clearer: not to exist as a constant content engine, but as a purpose-led movement that returns intentionally, with clarity and depth.
Failing It Up now exists as an archival and periodic editorial project, informing Bhawana Verma’s broader work in narrative, perception, and strategic clarity.
Founder’s Note
When Failing It Up first began, everything moved quickly — planning, collaborations, logistics, momentum. Somewhere within that movement, I paused to ask myself what Failing It Up truly was.
Was it a podcast?
A digital magazine?
A movement?
It started as an attempt to de-stigmatise failure, but over time it revealed itself as something deeper — a space for genuine connection, courage, and transformation through experience.
That pause was not an ending, but a realignment.
Today, I no longer measure Failing It Up through views or algorithms. I see it as a living initiative — one that returns when there is meaning to be shared, and space to hold it with care.
I am deeply grateful to every guest who has contributed their story with honesty and vulnerability. You have always been the soul of Failing It Up.
Current Status
The Failing It Up platform is currently being refreshed.
Selected past conversations and interviews — along with new stories — will return in a more intentional and meaningful format, aligned with the initiative’s original purpose.
Failing It Up continues as a movement you can engage with — by sharing stories, recommending voices, and participating in conversations that honour growth through experience.
